One picture, many sentences

A good way to test yourselves for different tenses and types of verbs that you have been learning recently is this:

1. chose a picture like the one in this article.

2. think of all the ways you can say something about it, to do with the action represented.

I will give you an example:

María…

  • Está comiendo un bocadillo en estos momentos (Present continuous tense).
  • Va a comer un bocadillo esta tarde (Ir+a+infinitive= Future tense).
  • Come un bocadillo todos los martes por la tarde (Simple present tense).
  • Quiere comer un bocadillo (Querer+infinitive, but also you could practice any verbs you know followed by infinitive, with or without linking word).

A María…

  • Le gusta comer bocadillos para desayunar (Gustar).

You could also use this type of picture to practice a bit your physical descriptions, and even think of one adjective of character that could suit María! There are many possibilities, explore them!
